Pantoum (artist's collection)

found object assemblage with patchwork; 15x22”; Not everyone likes poetry but I like it very much; Wendell Berry, T.S. Eliot, and Mary Oliver are favorites. A pantoum is a poem with a particular repetition of lines that layer phrases and meanings in a way that mimics the layering in a collage. This piece was designed to illuminate a pantoum that I particularly love, written by my son. It incorporates objects from the 1930's and 40's found in nooks and crannies of the farmhouse as we were renovating.
