Sunday Drive

acrylic on canvas; 24x36”; Another exploration of nightmarish highways. I just spent a week driving back and forth and bumper-to-bumper on the Baltimore & Washington beltways, over and over, which is enough to make anyone crazy. This painting is my brain's way of expunging the insanity. Maybe I’m coping by imagining all those roads empty, so I could just zoom through unhindered. This acrylic painting is mounted on nice heavy duty stretchers, which gives it a substantial feel on the wall. The painting wraps around the sides so it needs no frame.
